Entanglement

This series is an inquiry into "Entanglement" across various registers—philosophical, scientific, and the pragmatic realities of social, economic, and political systems. These drawings are my response to my own lived experiences as a mother, daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, an artist...across the field of relationships and emotions, their intertwining existences, of interconnected energies, their push and pull, ways of being and non-being.

Being super invested in sustainability and way of being (sustainable) in every aspect possible. 'Entanglement' for me also interprets as a reminder of our interconnectedness with others and the natural world, highlighting my responsibility to consider the consequences of my actions on others and the environment.

Entanglement in all its forms has intrigued and fascinated me, possibly more so due to my Indian Hindu roots, where ancient knowledge in the Vedas speaks of entanglement—how we are all mutually connected and interdependent.

Or, could it be due to my science background, where entanglement is a fundamental concept of quantum mechanics? Both challenge the illusion of separateness and point towards interconnectedness. Although both share a conceptual resonance, they differ fundamentally in their modes of enquiry: one through metaphysical philosophy and the other through empirical science.

Both frameworks, Vedantic ideas of entanglement and entanglement theory in quantum mechanics propose that reality is not composed of independent, isolated entities but rather a unified whole where everything is fundamentally connected.

Vedic texts mention the universe and all life forms being connected through vibrations or energy frequencies (Prāṇa or Vāyu), which can be seen as analogous to the vibrational modes of strings in string theory.
